3. Services
3.1 Quotations
All quotations provided by us are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. Quotations are based on the information provided to us and may be subject to revision if the scope of work changes or additional issues are discovered during the course of the work.
3.2 Acceptance of Work
A contract is formed between you and us when you accept our quotation (verbally, in writing, or by instructing us to proceed) and we confirm the booking. For emergency work, the contract is formed when we attend the property and you agree to the proposed work and charges.
3.3 Access and Permissions
You are responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the drainage system and the area where work is to be carried out. You must ensure that you have the legal authority to authorise work on the property and its drainage system. If you are a tenant, you should obtain permission from your landlord or property owner before instructing us.
3.4 Completion of Work
We will carry out all work with reasonable skill and care, in accordance with industry standards and best practices. We will endeavour to complete the work within the estimated timescale; however, timescales are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to unforeseen complications, weather conditions, or the need for additional work.
4. Pricing and Payment
4.1 Pricing
All prices quoted are inclusive of VAT where applicable. We will always agree the price with you before commencing work. If additional work is required beyond the original scope, we will inform you and obtain your agreement before proceeding.
4.2 Call-Out Charges
We do not charge a call-out fee. You only pay for the work carried out.
4.3 Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept payment by cash, bank transfer, and all major credit and debit cards.
4.4 Late Payment
If payment is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to charge interest on the overdue amount at a rate of 4% above the Bank of England base rate, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998. We also reserve the right to recover reasonable costs of collecting overdue payments.
5. Cancellations and Cooling-Off Period
5.1 Your Right to Cancel
If you are a consumer, you have the right to cancel a contract made at a distance or off-premises within 14 days of the contract being formed, in accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
5.2 Emergency Work Exception
If you request that we commence emergency work within the 14-day cooling-off period, you acknowledge that you may lose your right to cancel once the work has been completed. We will inform you of this before beginning emergency work.
5.3 Cancellation by You
If you wish to cancel a scheduled appointment, we ask that you give us at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a reasonable cancellation fee to cover our costs.
5.4 Cancellation by Us
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a booking if circumstances beyond our reasonable control prevent us from carrying out the work (for example, severe weather, illness, or vehicle breakdown). In such cases, we will contact you as soon as possible to arrange an alternative date.
6. Warranties and Guarantees
We guarantee the quality of our workmanship. If a blockage we have cleared recurs within 28 days and is caused by the same issue at the same location, we will return and re-clear it free of charge. This guarantee does not apply where the recurrence is caused by a different issue, structural damage, third-party interference, or misuse of the drainage system.
For drain repair work, we provide a guarantee in line with the manufacturer’s warranty on any materials used. Details will be provided at the time of the work.
7. Liability
7.1 Our Liability
We carry comprehensive public liability insurance. Our liability for any loss or damage arising from our services is limited to the cost of the work undertaken, except in cases of death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
7.2 Exclusions
We shall not be liable for:
- Pre-existing defects or damage to your drainage system that are not caused by our work
- Damage caused by third parties, tree root ingress, ground movement, or other natural causes
- Loss of profit, business, revenue, or anticipated savings
- Indirect or consequential loss or damage
